being a grown up
the super ego prevails
heartbreak of the id
'...changing the form of one's mission's almost as difficult as changing the shape of one's nose:
they are, each, in the middle of one's face and one's character - one has to begin too far back.'
― Henry James. The Portrait of a Lady.

Letting go of what you love is hard but sometimes necessary
Lying in the dark
I can't sleep caffeinated
Reminder to self

Green autumn bides no spring
green grapes with green tea
a year ago yesterday -
tasting sour-sweet.
fuyu samushi
frozen taste on frozen tongue -
will haru come?

As time passes
Emptiness pervades
as movement carries forth space-
time residuum.
What is matter
but a concept of movement
that slow eyes pick up?
Where is displacement?
Impossible concept if
there is no stillness.
Yet stillness exists
only hypothetically -
really think on it.
as movement carries forth space-
time residuum.
What is matter
but a concept of movement
that slow eyes pick up?
Where is displacement?
Impossible concept if
there is no stillness.
Yet stillness exists
only hypothetically -
really think on it.
