Strangely enough, for a lot of really great songs, you have to listen to them a couple of times to really be able to appreciate them. Of course it goes without saying that for really great songs, you don't get tired of hearing the same sounds. I think it's something to do with being able to pick out subtleties in the music. Or really it's just about liking bits of it.
Like in Jason Mraz's I'm Yours:
I've been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror, and bending over backwards just to try to see it clearer. But my breath fogged up the glass and so I drew a new face and laughed. I guess what I'm be saying is there ain't no better reason to rid yourself of vanity and just go with the seasons.
Breathtakingly tongue-in-cheek honesty just doesn't get any better than that.
